Peeps, Glorious Peeps!

Fancy Flours
I loved Peeps growing up and couldn't wait for Easter time when they would make their yearly outing.  For my peeps (couldn't help it :) who live in the DC area, you can head over to the Peep store at National Harbor and get your Peep on (again, I know :)

If you are a Peep lover, there are so many ways to include Peeps in your Easter decor.  See for yourself!

Simply Elegant: A Baby Shower

Any baby shower that starts out with these super-chic and elegant invites would have to be a.ma.zing.....
So of course, it came as no surprise when I saw the end result!

Yesterday, I quickly posted to my Facebook page an amazing baby shower that was designed and styled by my childhood friend Claude of Petite-Fete.  I had to do it justice, and give it a little more coverage.  Every detail of this baby shower is just superb!  Look at these pics and then head over to her site to see more!!

The shower was held at the simple but elegant  iCi Restaurant in Brooklyn, NY.  The whole baby shower is a reflection of understated elegance.   More is not always better and these pics are proof of that.

just looking at these make me hungry!
love the photo booth!
the proud parents-to-be.....
All the paper, invitations, and event styling was done by Petite-Fete.  The photographs are all courtesy of   beIMAGED who captured the event.  Love their style of photography.

Oh and these caught my eyes too! HOT!
any photographer who caught these, has got a good eye!

Oh, Hello Kitty!

We are totally into Hello Kitty here.....working on a Hello Kitty Inspired Birthday Party for a soon to be 4 year old.  The ladies over at Anders Ruff created some beautiful party printables for our party.  I sent them a pix of a t-shirt my daughter will be wearing for her party and they created their magic.  Not only are they stunning but they set the tone for the rest of the party.

Here's a little peek...

And the invites are out......

Can't wait for the party!

For Japan With Love

Tomorrow we will be taking part in Bloggers Day of Silence.  There will be no post as we remember those who lost their lives and as the country tries to rebuild itself.

For me this disaster, literally struck close to home because a year ago my own country felt, and is still feeling, the devastating impact of the earthquake.  My heart goes out to the people of Japan as they mourn those they have lost, those they may never find, and begin the process of recovery.  There is no rhyme or reason, and the whys don't bring answers.   Experiences like these humble me and I am truly grateful for my comfort and the safety of my loved ones!

Thank you Utterly Engaged and ever thine. ever mine. ever ours. for sharing!  Please join us in our day of silence!

A little more green......layered cake!

Navy Blue At It's Best

Taking a break from all things "green" to bring you some lovely cakes!  My Sweet and Saucy is at it again...boy I wished I lived in LA.  Certainly an incredible wedding cake, but also works just as well for bridal shower,  engagement party, gala, or formal dinner party.   Take a look...need I say more....

navy blue is classic and elegant all by itself, but paired with this sunny yellow...what a statement!
